Getting Through After-Separation Issues

What societies, cultures and traditions say about marriage and divorce may or may not differ from one country to another. There may be one or more general factors that countries have in common regarding these two aspects in people's lives. But understanding and action to these two may vary depending on where it has taken place and who are involved in it.

It is a reality, however, that not all couples that decide to put themselves under the binds of marriage end up successfully together until death, as they had sworn in to. There will come a point when one or both of them will want to put an end to their marital relationship and will call for a divorce settlement that will involve the court of law. This may also happen when a husband or a wife feel that there are irreconcilable differences between them.

Going through the process of divorce has different implications on a lot of issues. Some of which are property division, child or children custody and provision and other lawful issues. While property division may easily be settled when an agreement has been drafted, approved and signed by both parties, child or children custody takes rather a longer period before it is settled.

In most cases, there is an age requirement for a child or children to decide on where and to whom they will want to stay with after the separation of the parents. Or parents may opt to take turns in taking care of them for a period of time.
